The Debt Limit by Frank Scoblete
So I went to my banker and said, "I owe you $14,000 and I have a payment coming up but I can’t pay it. I need to borrow more money from you so I can make the payments to you."
The banker said, "No."
I said, "But I will go into default."
The banker said, "No more money. We will not lend you more money to pay off the money you already owe us."
I said, "But it is not my fault that I will default. I needed to buy things like a 57 inch high definition television, surround sound speakers, golf club membership, vacations to exotic lands and gourmet meals. And good clothes too."
The banker said, "No more money for you."
I said, "But all of those things I had to have. They were essential."
The banker said, "No."
As you can see my banker is a cruel and heartless human being.
